Job Summary of Closer:

This position focuses on creating a welcoming and safe environment while providing exceptional customer service. This role plays a key role in delivering a personalized shopping experience and supports Stop & Shop's culture and values.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Closer:

• Perform total store management responsibilities as required.
• Manage, implement, and maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in all areas of the store to comply with federal, state, local, and Stop & Shop policies and procedures.
• Minimize store expenses through efficient use of supplies, proper use and maintenance of equipment, and identifying cost-cutting opportunities.
• Ensure the ongoing maintenance and organization of the grocery backroom to promote proper product rotation and associate productivity.
• Maintain the Stop & Shop sign program, merchandise weekly distributions, seasonal product, and order shelf stock and sale items.

Qualifications and Experience of Closer:

• Education: High school diploma required, some college preferred.
• Experience: 2-4 years of previous grocery retail management experience preferred.
• Special Skills: Interpersonal, decision-making, delegation, leadership, and conflict management skills.
