Job Summary of Bulk Fuel Driver:
See to the timely and safe delivery of refined goods from storage terminals to retail and wholesale establishments, as well as industrial clients, complying with both internal regulations and legal requirements outlined by the Department of Transportation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Bulk Fuel Driver:
- Securely load fuel onto customer terminals located externally.
- Carry out scheduled fuel deliveries to company store locations in compliance with route assignments.
- Authenticate that the sent item matches the specified store destination.
- Adhere to the safety protocols and procedures mandated by the company and the Department of Transportation for the loading and unloading of potentially dangerous materials.
- Maintain safety on the roads by abiding by the driving laws established by federal and state authorities.
- Maintain accurate daily service hour records for DOT compliance.
- Inspect and promptly document any mechanical or equipment malfunctions.
- Keep a professional demeanor and make sure your vehicle’s inside and outside are neat and tidy.
- Execute other duties as instructed by superiors.
Qualifications and Experience of Bulk Fuel Driver:
- - The minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or an equivalent.
- The position mandates a minimum of three years of experience driving tractor-trailers.
- Sought-after: The requirement for three years of experience in the field of petroleum delivery driving.
- Accredited with a Class A CDL and endorsements for Hazmat and Tank, accompanied by a TWIC certification.
- Having a record of safe driving and a satisfactory standing in the DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse database.
- Maintaining the aptitude to meet and adhere to the criteria outlined in the DOT physical exam.
