Job Summary of Inventory Selector:
The duties of this role consist of accurately picking, packing, and organizing warehouse goods for transportation to retail establishments. The position emphasizes the importance of order accuracy, safety compliance, and the enhancement of warehouse efficiency.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Inventory Selector:
- Retrieve goods from the warehouse inventory as per the order details.
- Identify items by referring to the aisle they are located in, the slot position, and the quantity available.
- Bundle, arrange, and sort goods to avoid damage and ensure safe transportation.
- Comply with safety standards by ensuring a tidy and well-maintained work environment.
- Help with cycle counts and audits to validate the precision of inventory records as requested.
- Properly maneuver forklifts and pallet jacks within the warehouse premises once you have been certified to do so.
Qualifications and Experience of Inventory Selector:
- A high school diploma or similar certification is preferred for this position.
- Having prior exposure to warehouse operations or inventory management is a plus but not obligatory.
- Core mathematical and reading proficiencies for interpreting order sheets and markers.
- Skilled in the ability to hoist items up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods without fatigue.
- Showing a commitment to accuracy and proficient organizational capabilities.
- While recommended, a forklift certification is not obligatory.
