Cleaning Technician
Job Summary of Cleaning Technician:
This position supports the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall appearance of the office environment. Responsibilities include general cleaning, light HVAC work, small facility repairs, and event support. The individual serves as a team lead for janitorial operations and acts as a backup when staffing issues arise. A focus on safety, organization, and timely task execution is key to success in this role.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Cleaning Technician:
- Undertake minor building maintenance activities like painting, hanging decorations, routing cables, and relocating appliances.
- Manage elementary HVAC upkeep duties like replacing filters.
- Engage in general cleaning activities which include tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Support in the establishment and dismantling of meeting and event set-ups.
- Monitor inventory levels for cleaning supplies and report on restocking needs promptly.
- Comply with health and safety standards to guarantee a safe working environment.
- Assist with outdoor maintenance tasks such as snow removal and tending to landscaping needs.
- Head the janitorial staff and stand in during callouts or insufficiencies in staffing.
- Offer assistance with parking lot coordination, event arrangements, and security provisions for various functions.
- Supply assistance with cold weather conditions by treating surfaces with salt and clearing snow from walkways.
- Services provided encompass office and cubicle relocations, as well as equipment setup and minor repair work as necessary.
- Complete any other assigned tasks promptly according to departmental instructions.
Qualifications and Experience of Cleaning Technician:
- A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is a prerequisite for consideration.
- Completing a program at a trade school is the desired educational background.
- A maintenance background of one to two years is essential, but candidates with three to four years of experience are preferred.
- Demonstrates superb verbal and written communication capabilities.
